Police in Wellington say they don't believe two fires deliberately lit at a disused college are linked to other recent fires.
The upper floor of a classroom block at the former Petone Tech in Hutt Valley went up in flames on Friday night.
A second fire in a nearby admistration block - which fire officers say was lit while they were fighting the first - caused limited damage
Police say that at this stage they don't think there's a connection to other fires in the region, including two at the Basin Reserve during the week.
They say there have been several fires at the disused school over the years.
