TV3 parent company fined $3000 over language

The Broadcasting Standards Authority has ordered the parent company of TV3 to pay costs of $3000 for offensive language used in an episode of Outrageous Fortune.

The BSA found 18 uses of offensive language in the first 10 minutes of the programme.

TV3 parent company TV Works says the use of one extremely offensive word in the show was a genuine mistake and accepted its use was unacceptable.
