There's been an increase in the amount of electricity generated in New Zealand from renewable sources.
Latest figures issued by the Government show renewable energy generation reached almost 80% earlier this year.
Acting Energy Minister Hekia Parata says strong hydro inflows and generation from new wind and geothermal sources, saw the figure rise from 74% to 79% in the first three months of the year.
