Two people have died on North Island roads in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A 47-year-old man died when the motor home he was driving left State Highway 2 and went down a bank at about 2.30am. No other vehicles were involved.
A 10-year-old boy who was in the vehicle was taken to Masterton Hospital with minor injuries.
Earlier, a fatality occured at 1.20am on Puketona Road in Paihia when a car crashed into a powerpole.
