Police in Hawke's Bay have arrested nine members of the Mongrel Mob in Wairoa, as part of an investigation into the shooting of a rival gang member.
Detective Inspector Ross Pinkham says those arrested have been charged in relation to a member of Black Power being shot in late October.
The charges include wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and offering to supply methamphetamine.
He says they will appear in the Wairoa, Gisborne and Napier Courts on Wednesday.
