A second person has been arrested in connection with a stabbing near the North Island town of Levin on Wednesday.
A 23-year-old man from the town contacted police on Friday and was arrested.
On Wednesday, a woman was arrested and charged with assault after a Foxton man, 34, was stabbed at a house south of Levin.
He underwent surgery for abdominal injuries and is in a serious condition at Palmerston North Hospital.
Police said the man arrested was due to appear in the Levin District Court charged with grievous bodily harm.
