One new cap has been named in the All Black squad for the one-off test against Fiji and the Tri-Nations.

Taranaki and Highlanders lock Jarrod Hoeata has been selected for the first time after impressing in the Super Rugby competition.

Colin Slade has been named as Dan Carter's backup, while lock Ali Williams returns after being unavailable because of injury for two and a half years.

Tony Woodcock, Isaia Toeava, Hosea Gear and Israel Dagg have been named despite having injuries, so four other players, Wyatt Crockett, Cory Jane, Sitiveni Sivivatu and Ben Smith have been called in as cover.

The first test is against Fiji in Dunedin in a fortnight, while the first Tri-Nations Test is against the Springboks in Wellington a week later.
