Alcohol outlets caught selling to minors

12:05 pm on 12 July 2011

Six of the 10 stores visited by 16- and 17-year-old volunteers sold alcohol to them.

Sergeant Jacquie Muir of Kapiti Police says one superette worker was 15 years old and staff of that age should not be left to make critical decisions by themselves.

She says adult staff members who sold the alcohol may face charges while their managers will appear before the Liquor Licensing Authority.
