More information sought on home care services for elderly

The Auditor-General is asking health agencies to start looking into home care services for elderly people, because there is not enough information to vouch for their quality.

A report by the Auditor-General says the services appear to be satisfactory, but there's not enough reliable information to be entirely sure.

A spokesperson for the auditor-general says the information came from providers assessing themselves, and only a small number of people receiving the services were spoken to.
