A broken traffic light has caused a spate of minor crashes in Christchurch.
Police say the light, at the intersection of Blenhein Road and Manderville Street were put of action when they were damaged in a car accident on Friday night.
There have since been several minor collisions as motorists try to negotiate their way through the intersection.
Police say drivers need to take care, and be patient as there is no traffic control.
The light won't be repaired until Monday or Tuesday.
