A woman who killed a neighbour not long after leaving a mental health facility in Hamilton early last year has pleaded guilty to murder.
The 41-year-old woman, who has interim name suppression, pleaded guilty in the High Court in Hamilton on Tuesday and will be sentenced on 8 September.
She had hit Diane White, 53, with a hammer at Ms White's Frankton home in January 2010.
The defendent had been a patient at Waikato Hospital's Henry Rongomau Bennett Centre but had discharged herself from the facility about two hours before the killing.
