Police say the death of a man in his 40s at the Arlington Apartments in Wellington is not suspicious.
Emergency services were called to the Mt Cook suburb about 6.15pm on Wednesday where police say a man was found unconscious in the carpark area of the complex.
CPR was performed but the man died at the scene.
At the same time, fire crews attended to a fire on the other side of the building.
Emergency services say the two incidents appear to be unrelated.
