Heavy snow has halted many mail deliveries thoroughout the country on Monday. New Zealand Post says delays should be expected.
Affected areas include parts of Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Wairarapa, Manawatu, Whanganui, Wellington, Canterbury and the lower South Island.
In the Nelson Marlborough region, there is limited delivery.
