South Africa wins Tri-Nations clash against All Blacks

11:01 am on 21 August 2011

The Springboks have beaten the All Blacks 18-5 in their Tri-Nations match in Port Elizabeth.

Morne Steyn kicked five penalties and a drop goal for the home side to give them their first win of the competition.

Richard Kahui scored a try for the All Blacks.

The under-strength All Black side dominated territory and possession during Saturday's match.

However errors cost them any chance of putting South Africa under pressure.

Coach Graham Henry said the side created half a dozen opportunities to score but did not complete them, though he said the players defended "okay".

The Tri-Nations will be decided next weekend when the All Blacks take on the Wallabies in Brisbane.
