Zion Wildlife Park placed in liquidation

Northland's Zion Wildlife Park has been placed in liquidation by the High Court in Whangarei.

The receiver, PricewaterhouseCoopers, was appointed two weeks ago because the park was struggling to pay its bills.

The receiver says the liquidation will not affect the receivership process and receivers remain in control of the assets of the park.

Television personality Craig Busch opened the park in 2002, but the directorship was passed to his mother, Patricia Busch, in 2006 after she raised money to pay off mounting debts.
