Police in the Northland town of Kerikeri are warning locals to watch out for a sexual predator who has been approaching women.
They say in the latest, and fourth incident, a 21-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man when she was walking home early on Sunday. The woman ran off and was unharmed.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Burke says the other three incidents all involved woman walking home alone in June and July.
Mr Burke says police are increasing patrols, but is urging people who are out at night to stay together and to take a taxi rather than walk on their own.
Police want to hear from anyone may have seen the incidents.
