A 17-month-old girl remains in a critical condition in hospital after she was hurt in an accident in the driveway of her grandmother's home in the Hastings suburb of Flaxmere.
Police say the incident happened when a courier van was leaving the property.
She was taken to Hawke's Bay hospital with internal injuries and was then transferred to Starship hospital in Auckland for specialist care.
