The road through the Manawatu Gorge on State Highway 3 will remain closed on Wednesday night after it was blocked by a slip early in the morning.
The Transport Agency says the slip is in the same place as a major rockfall that was partially cleared on Sunday after the road had been closed for 10 days.
The agency says it will reassess the slip on Thursday morning. In the meantime, drivers sould use detours on the Pahiatua Track and Saddle Road.
