Wellington Phoenix has signed Spanish midfielder Dani Sanchez on a one-year contract for the upcoming A League football season.
Sanchez, who is 26, has been trialling with the Phoenix for the past two months though he spent much of that time sidelined with a thigh injury.
Since getting back to full fitness, coach Ricki Herbert says he's been impressed by Sanchez's ability, particularly the role he played in the side's 2-all draw against Melbourne Heart, in a warm-up match ten days ago.
