A public memorial service for businessman Allan Hubbard will be held in Timaru on 8 October.
Mr Hubbard, 83, died after a car crash on 2 September and the Serious Fraud Office has since dropped 50 charges of fraud against him.
The service will be held at the Timaru Sound Shell. Mayor Janie Annear will officate.
Mr Hubbard's wife, Jean Hubbard, who was driving the car, was injured but is in a stable condition.
