An Air New Zealand plane is being checked after one of its four engines was affected by a power surge during flight.
The Boeing 747 was en route from Sydney to Auckland when the incident happened on Sunday evening.
A spokesperson for the airline says an emergency landing was not required.
No flights have been affected by the plane's grounding.
