The benchmark NZX50 index closed flat, up two points, at 3290 on Tuesday.
Fletcher Building fell 5c to $7.40, while Telecom gained 1c to $2.57 and Contact Energy 16c to $5.43.
Sky City Entertainment and Sky Network Television were both down 6c, to $3.45 and $5.32 respectively. Auckland International Airport was up 0.5c at $2.28, Fisher and Paykel Healthcare up 6c at $2.30, the Warehouse down 10c at $3.23 and New Zealand Oil and Gas down 2c at 70c.
Restaurant Brands dropped 4c to $2.20 after announcing that its September quarterly sales had fallen 6.5%.
Michael Hill International slipped 1c to close at 89c.
In currency markets, at 5.20pm on Tuesday the New Zealand dollar was buying 81.93 US cents, 80.37 Australian, 52.3 pence, 62.73 yen and 0.6022 euro.
The Trade Weighted Index stood at 72.01.
