Police in Hamilton are seeking witnesses to an incident in which a young boy was accosted while walking to school on Wednesday.
They say the 10-year-old was approached in in Morrinsville Rd, Hillcrest, at 8.30am by a man who had been following him in a car.
He then followed the boy on foot and chased him and grabbed his arm.
Police say the boy managed to shrug off his attacker and ran to get help.
The man is described as a Maori or Polynesian aged in his 40s and of medium build - about 180 centimetres tall. He was driving a greeny-brown old model car.
