Waiouru medal theft accused appears in court

The man charged with the theft of more than 800 medals from the National Army Museum in Waiouru has appeared in court.

Keith Davies, a former staff member at the museum, appeared in the Wellington District Court on Thursday.

He is accused of stealing 843 medals, worth an estimated $256,000, between 1995 and 2002.

Mr Davies was remanded to reappear in court on 6 October.
