The Christchurch police want to know if anyone has seen a man who robbed an Opawa dairy at knifepoint on Monday evening.
They say a small quantity of tobacco products was taken in the incident, which occurred at about 5 o'clock. No one was injured.
The police have released security camera images of the robber at the counter brandishing a knife. He left on foot and headed along Opawa Rd towards the city.
He's described as Maori or Polynesian, solidly built and wearing black clothing.
