Public confidence in the police has lifted slightly according to the latest police trust and confidence survey.
The survey of 10,000 people shows confidence increased from 75% in the 2009/2010 year to 77% in 2010/2011.
It also shows 93% of those questioned feel safe in their neighbourhoods during the day - up only 1% from a similar survey last year.
Of those surveyed, 91% believe the police are competent.
The survey began in 2008 when public confidence was 69%.
The margin of error was plus or minus 1%.
