The death of a woman found in a roadside ditch near Napier on Wednesday is no longer being treated as suspicious.
Police say preliminary post-mortem results on the body of Gillian Reynolds, 47, have not been able to determine a cause of death.
She was found dead on Wednesday morning by a cyclist alongside Main North Road in the township of Bay View.
She was last seen walking a small black long-haired terrier on a lead on Tuesday night.
Detective Sergeant Daryl Moore says there were no obvious injuries and further tests are required to determine how she died.
The matter is now before the Coroner to determine the cause of death.
