An aerial and water search has failed to find a diver who went missing in Bay of Plenty on Saturday morning.
The police say the 30-year-old man became separated from his companions in Omaio Bay.
A search using a plane, the coastguard and local divers has been unsuccessful.
The police are sending the National Dive Squad from Wellington, so the search can continue in the morning.
