Several small settlements north of Dunedin are without power after a fault late on Tuesday night.
TrustPower says the fault which occured at about 11.15pm, does not affect Dunedin.
It originally covered an area from Waikouaiti to Waitati, but has been reduced to eight settlements along State Highway One, including Bucklands Crossing, Merton and Hawkesbury.
