Starship hospital in Auckland could be in for a windfall after teen singer Justin Bieber named it as one of 20 charities worldwide to benefit from a new charity programme called Believe.
Bieber is aiming to raise funds by asking fans to give money before the release of his new album, also called Believe, next year.
People can go to his website to donate.
The Starship Foundation says donations will go towards rebuilding neuroservices and medical specialties wards, that including brain tumours, genetic disorders and suspected child abuse injuries.
Chief executive Brad Clark says the charity is grateful to have Bieber's support.
