A boy who nearly drowned in a Gisborne river on Thursday, remains in a critical condition in Starship Hospital.
The boy, aged three, and his cousin, Sukhraj Singh, aged two, were found face-down in the Taruheru River, after wandering away from a house in the suburb of Riverdale.
His cousin was unable to be revived.
