Power is returning to part of the Kapiti Coast after it was cut about 1.40pm on Thursday.
The outage from south of Otaki to Paekakariki was caused by a fault on circuits at Transpower's Paraparaumu substation.
Transpower says the fault was repaired and the power is being switched back on in stages.
