A 34-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Christchurch teenager Jade Bayliss.
The body of the 13-year-old was discovered inside her badly-burnt Somerfield home on 10 November.
Christchurch police say the man has also been charged with arson and burglary.
He will appear in the Christchurch District Court at Rangiora on Tuesday.
A second Christchurch man will also appear and police expect to charge him with being an accessory after the fact.
Detective Inspector Greg Williams says he's interested in hearing about activity at the teenager's Barrington Street home between 10 am and 10.30 am on Thursday morning, when he believes her death occurred.
Both of the men have been in custody since Thursday night after being arrested on charges of criminal harassment.
That related to an earlier separate incident involving Jade's mother.
