The mother of the triathlete who accused Zac Guildford of harassing her while the All Black was on a drinking binge in the Cook Islands is pleading for his fans to stop online abuse of her daughter.

Kelly Pick laid a complaint with the police against Guildford saying he hassled her while she was out on a training run in Rarotonga.

Two pages have been created on the social networking site Facebook in support of Guildford.

One of them is entitled Kelly Pick, leave Zac Guildford alone and both feature comments critical of Ms Pick, in one case calling her a "money-hungry wannabe".

Kelly Pick's mother Eva Pick told Checkpoint her daughter had never asked for money for herself, suggesting only that if he really wanted to show remorse he should donate money to a Cook Islands charity of her choice.

She also wanted him to contribute to her legal costs because she had had to hire a lawyer.
