Chatham Cup football champions Wairarapa United have found a home for next season.
The team needed to secure a home pitch by Wednesday or face withdrawing from next season's Central Region Premier League competition.
In an 11th-hour move, Carterton District Council made Carrington Park and its changing rooms available for home matches played by the side.
Wairarapa United coach and manager Phil Keinzley says he can now start signing players with confidence that they will have a high-quality playing venue.
Wairarapa United has not had a regular venue for the last three years and have played at a number of grounds in that time.
