A scrub fire that broke out in Geraldine on Saturday afternoon has been put out.
The fire started at about 4.30pm on Withells Road, which runs alongside the Rangitata River.
At its height, 18 men and a helicopter were needed to get it under control.
The fire damaged scrubland but no houses were under threat.
