Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will visit New Zealand next year.
Prime Minister John Key says they are coming as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Senior members of the royal family will be visiting 15 countries where the Queen is the Head of State.
Prince Charles last visited New Zealand in 2005. This will be the Duchess of Cornwall's first visit.
They will also visit Australia, Papua New Guinea and Canada in 2012 as part of celebrations.
The Queen and Prince Philip will remain in Britain but will travel widely throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
