Shuttle buses will replace trains on some lines in Auckland from Monday evening.
The changes to the Southern, Western and Onehunga lines will allow work to be completed on upgrading tracks.
A spokesperson for Veolia Transport says buses will replace all trains on all lines from 26 December until 3 January.
No buses or trains will run on Christmas Day.
