Police speak to people in area at time of attack on journalist

Police investigating the killing of Radio New Zealand journalist Phillip Cottrell say they have identified most of the people seen on CCTV.

Mr Cottrell, 43, died after he was assaulted in Boulcott Street, shortly after leaving work on The Terrace in central Wellington at 5.30am on 10 December.

Two men, aged 17 and 19, have been charged with his murder.

Police say two of six people pictured on CCTV have come forward, while two others identified have also now been spoken to.

Police are also looking to talk to the driver of a car seen on the footage when Mr Cottrell was attacked.
