The older of the two men accused of murdering a Radio New Zealand journalist has been remanded in custody until next year.
Phillip Cottrell, 43, died after being assaulted on a Wellington street on 10 December.
One of the defendants, Nicho Waipuka, 19, appeared in Wellington District Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
His next appearance is for a bail application hearing on 13 January.
The other accused, aged 17, will appear again in court on Thursday. He has name suppression.
