Low course completion results in funding cut

8:10 am on 24 December 2011

The Tertiary Education Commission has cut nearly $3.5 million in funding from four tertiary institutions because of their low course completion rates.

The money has been taken from the 2012 subsidies for student enrolments allocated to the institutions, three of which are privately run.

They are the Practical Education Institute in New Plymouth, Chubb New Zealand Limited and Framework Solutions Limited.

The fourth organisation is Te Wananga o Raukawa based in Otaki.
