Maori feeling forgotten during election

An organisation representing Maori living in Australia says New Zealand political parties need to step up their campaigns across the Tasman at the next election.

Maoriinoz.com feels the political parties ignored expats during the election.

It says they're failing to take advantage of New Zealanders who are eligible to vote.

A spokesperson Christel Broederlow says she's lobbied political parties, particularly the Maori and Mana parties, but they're not listening.

Ms Broederlow says politicians say they need to focus on what's happening at home.
