Forensic work continues at two locations.

Police believe a Christchurch woman was killed in her own home.

Forensic work continues at two locations.

The body of Tracey Lee Morris, 46, was found in her car on Grays Road near Christchurch airport on Friday.

A man, 53, was arrested on Saturday and will appear in court on Monday charged with murder and sexual violation.

Detective Inspector Virginia Le Bas says the vehicle in which Ms Morris was found is being carefully examined, as is her home.

She says police are tracing Ms Morris' movements before her death. They want to speak to anyone who had contact with her, or saw her car, a blue Honda Civic, in the days before she died.
