Police say a man who died on a rural road south of Hamilton could be a victim of a hit and run.
The man was still alive when he was found at about 5am on Sunday by a passing motorist, near the intersection of Bellevue and Maychurch Roads. He died shortly afterwards.
Traffic diversions are in place. Police want to speak to anyone who was driving along Marychurch Road, between Taupiri and Cambridge, between 4.30am - 5am.
