122 cases of caffeine overdose

The National Poisons Centre says 122 people have reported overdosing on caffeine. The figures cover a six year period ending in 2010.

The centre says the callers believed they had overdosed on caffeine, mostly on caffeine pills and energy drinks.

The average age of the caller was 13.

A poisons centre in New South Wales has revealed it is facing a growing problem with caffeine overdoses.
