A man has died in a glider crash near the Central Otago town of Omarama.
Emergency services were called to the site just after 6.30pm on Wednesday where the pilot was found dead.
No one else was in the craft.
Civil Aviation Authority investigators will go to the scene of the accident on Thursday.
The man has not been named at this stage as next-of-kin are yet to be told.
