Police say electricity is now restored to most of the Feilding area.
Much of the Manawatu town was without power for more than an hour following a transformer fire.
The blaze broke out at the Denbigh Street site just before 5am on Monday.
The Fire Service says it was not a big fire and was quickly put out.
