A man is due to appear in the Auckland District Court on Monday accused of murdering two people in a central city apartment block.
The Police Armed Offenders Squad was called out to an apartment block in Vogel Lane on Saturday morning to find two bodies on the first floor.
Neither of the victims have been formally identified but Inspector Gary Hill says police can confirm both are male.
The accused, a 30-year-old Iraqi man, also faces a charge of aggravated robbery and one of possessing an offensive weapon.
