A man who was implicated in the 2001 Panmure RSA killings has had his chance of parole delayed after being caught with a cellphone in jail.
Darnell Tupe was the getaway driver for William Bell, who murdered three people at the RSA and left a fourth for dead.
Tupe is serving 12 years for manslaughter.
The Parole Board says Tupe had been living in a self-care unit, but was recently found with a cellphone in his possession and has been returned to a mainstream prison wing.
The Board says it will not give any thought to releasing him until the prison has sanctioned him for being caught with a banned item.
The 32-year-old will next appear before the board in April.
