Three quarters of New Zealanders want the Occupy protests to end according to a study by research company UMR.

UMR surveyed 750 people, all aged over 18, about their thoughts on the protest movement that started in October 2011.

When asked whether the occupiers should remain in public parks or move on, 75% said they should leave, 16% supported them staying, and 9% were not sure.

Of those questioned 51% opposed the movement, while 25% said they were indifferent.

The margin of error in the survey is 3.6%.
